Fighting the Last War.
And what if this CEO had to recover from 3000 employees burned to death in this "hostile takeover" after the previous CEO had failed to stop previous attacks, and got himself involved in a scandal from which he never recovered, dragging the company through months of conflict and rancor?
What if the current CEO had to stand by while company employees called him a liar, nazi, thug, etc, all the time working to keep another attack from happening, and recovering from a recession which began during the time of the previous scandal ridden administration, and still came out of it with 94.6% employment rate and continued historically low interest rates?
The CEO analogy breaks down rapidly when you are dealing with life and death instead of money. The President is also the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces. This calls for a very different set of skills from the CEO of a major corporation. Although, considering Mr. Bush is the first President in our history with an MBA, he's probably more qualified to be CEO than any President we've had in a long time.
Interesting that the very next post from Professor Cole is an islamo fascist cleric calling for attacks on Americans, both military and civilian.....
