I've grown tired of ignoring my friends on the left and their misuse of facts. I've tried to just let them have their opinions, and assert whatever crazy politically correct fad they happen to hear on MSNBCCNNABCCBSNBCNewYorkTimes etc.
But, as George W. Bush's administration found out, a charge unanswered quickly becomes a charge that sticks.
I'm tired of being bullied. I've had enough.
As Daniel Patrick Moynihan once said so well,
"You are entitled to your own opinion, but you are not entitled to your own facts."

Einstein's theory of relativity is always stated that nothing can travel faster than the speed of light. The research being conducted today may prove Einstein right, but that he may not have the last word on being able to travel to the stars. Let's hope he's right, and wrong at the same time.

I remember this story, and the media pile on after...and not being able to refute it back then. I mean, they all said the turkey was fake, and a symbol for all that was wrong with the Bush administration. Yet it was the story that was a fake. I am constantly amazed by the difference in media coverage. Obama can do no wrong, Bush could do no right. Yet I would take Bush as President again any day...

If you are a grasshopper, waiting for the government to solve all your problems, move on. There are plenty of places for you to hear your own echo chamber. It won't happen here.

The End of Christendom...

So, I thought I'd be okay by now. But I find myself more sad with each passing day. Maybe you've felt it too, since that Tuesday night in early November when we watched our fellow citizens vote our nation away.

It was just an election. We've had them before. We'll have them again. (I hope.)
But somehow, this was different. The loss seems deeper, more profound, more permanent. We sense that this...

vote was a vote for a different kind of America, an America we neither understand nor want. And that last election was our last chance to stop it.

It wasn't just our loss, but Western Civilization's last gasp as well.
For the first time since 325 AD, Western Civilization is no longer Christian. Christendom, the idea of a Christian kingdom encompassing the West, is finally, irrevocably dead. Christians once again live in a pagan, secular culture, a society at odds with our beliefs and values. And this is only the beginning.

If Christ tarries, we would do well to look back to those men and women of Christian History who faced a pagan culture before us. Those saints of the first 300 years of the Church can teach a lot to those of us living in the last days of that same Eklesia.

I don't think so. But this line, toward the end of his announcement, was very Reaganesque:
